The
Mountain of Sintra has a very particular microclimate due to The
Atlantic Ocean
Natural Park Sintra-Cascais There are many types of specimens that are particular to this park, despite some are almost extinct. Stone Pine: It exists near Estoril’s automobile race track, near Galamares and Gouveia, between Magoito Beach and Vigia. And you can also find it near the Praias da Adraga and Maçãs. Wild Pine tree: it is the most abundant specimen after the Pinheiro -Manso. You can see it near Praia das Maçãs and S. Julião. It is also in Magoito and around the mountain of Sintra. Cedars: they’re quite rare trees in the region of Sintra, though there are a few of them quite near the mountain. Cork trees: they’re concentrated near the Lagoa Azul. Oak Grove: This specimen is on the upper part of Sintra. Vinery of Colares: Like the name indicates, they are in the area of Colares. Today they are nothing more than a few. Roman Gillyflower: this crave is very nice and you can see it at Cabo da Roca and at Praia da Samarra. Sintra’s Gillyflower: It is as beautiful as the former and we can see it near Sintra surroundings. Pasture Areas: this big green valley may be seen between the Mountain of Malveira and Estoril’s automobile race track.
