Mercy Church

It is placed on the centre of the village of Sintra, right in front of the Pillory.
This monument built during the 16^th century became related to the Santa Casa da Misericórdia two centuries later.
Throughout a long time, its estate was one of the most valorous of this region thanks to the donations it received.
Despite that with the Instalment of Republic, part of the building, was destroyed so that the street could be enlarged.
Presently, we can only see the main altar and two lateral altars.
